I hope there is a day in this country where the evil rich will be pissing and shitting their pants out of fear of public reprisals for their obscene , filthy wealth and gaming the system to oppress the poor.
l don’t know what would be the catalyst but I will take absolute joy in it. Fuck ‘em.
in 2020 alone, the m1 money supply quadrupled. these things may play a part, but what we are saying is ultimately the slow death of an irresponsible financial system. nows the time to start looking for the lifeboats.
Krugman used to explain that prices are not inflation because prices also go down; when purchasing power is restored by wage hikes, that's inflation, and the rich hate it because it devalues the fixed interest debt they hold.
liberals have this weird idea that workers are "just one more part of the production process", just as valuable as the capitalist. I wonder what they'd say if presented with the argument that the capitalist doesn't need to be there, as per theory and history, while the workers are needed
CEO wage increase I found crazy. Watching wages at least locally. The wages went from $230,000 and now he went to $548,000. Crazy stuff while everyone else’s wages are buggered.
Wage growth absolutely fuels inflation, though. The supply chain interruptions were also a huge factor, but so was the explosive economy recovery post-Covid—including the attendant wage growth.
If the majority of the wealth is concentrated with 1% of the people, and they keep telling us they can't afford to pay the other 99% more, maybe what we really can't afford is rich people.
Rich people are the ones that are actually extremely expensive.
when you consider how our representatives are owned by the extremely wealthy (95% of all donations are made with the expectation of a return, and a dollar invested in politics yields an average return of 1,200 percent), you ought to check out the game.
This almost frames it like its an accident that they blame the economic presence of the mid/lower classes, when its deliberate. Economic operators and pawns know exactly what they arent acknowledging. CEOs dont 'do it on accident'
This stuff should be the thing regular people are less able to be propagandized about but so many of us willingly go "Shit, I guess I am the problem actually" and not change anything
Here ya go! not much frivolity, though, and the waste lies entirely in handing cash straight to the rich, since when you do that it never flows to the rest of the economy. It's like irrigating the ocean instead of the crops.
it is wild how far left common discourse is moving. the current debate is whether or not clocking the tyrants is good. it implies everyone understands who the tyrants are - but not everyone understands that those who seem to fight are supplicants and sycophants of them.
Man, reminds me of hospital budget talks. They always target the nursing department because that’s always the biggest expenditure, but they refuse to accept that nursing care is why people stay in the hospital.
They do, but only for themselves. The private sector caters mostly to them, and since they can afford to pay big bucks, they shift the average price of private services upwards, screw the poor.
No, the leading source was corporate profits (~56% of price rises we saw were corporations taking advantage of the rise in prices to hide their own increases. Followed by the supply chain disruption from covid and energy scarcity issues after Russian oil was sanctioned.
Yes that too, but what drives the actual inflation rate on the books is different. I walked out of a bagel place today because a fresh-made bagel sandwich was $13. Fuck them.

But, let's ignore forgiving the PPP Loans.
100% of all businesses goal is to drive labor costs as close to zero as possible. Anyone who says "but not my business" is the core of the problem.
Good business practice.
Rich people are the ones that are actually extremely expensive.
Minimum wage raises don’t influence much compared to social democratic policies
Look at their profit margins - that will tell the truth.
Half of them are rich because the average person is a financial moron
The other half know that and want to keep it that way.
Base masculinity is submitting to a hierarchy, base femininity is seeking consensus
Conservative masculinity is always anti person/society & most rampant ideology still
Look what happened after covid. Burger joints did everything to get workers. Sign in bonuses etc. If you are unsatisfied: leave and get a better job.
Oh wait...
So if you have to do anything for the society... it's unfair to you? Yeah you gonna stay poor.
It misses the biggest source of true inflation, Money Printing... with that, it would be fantastic.
higher taxes at the top
Should always be paired
