Kellogg suggesting Ukraine be “divided like post-war Berlin” shows just how out of touch he is. Ukraine isn’t a bargaining chip—it’s a sovereign nation fighting for its freedom.

And while kellogg & witkoff play jackstones to divvy up Ukrainian territories with putin, at home, their supreme leader wanks on about washing his hair. Stop this world, I want to get the fuck off.
Germany was divided as a consequence/punishment for the war of aggression that they launched on their neighbours, by that logic it's Russia that should be divided.
Not a bad idea to be honest, split it's constituent republics into sovereign states and limit drastically the power of Moscow.
Germany was partitioned because it was an aggressor nation invading its neighbours twice in 3 decades. Is the idea to punish Ukraine for the offence of being invaded?
if they would just stop aggressively using their hospitals schools and apartment buildings to knock down those beautiful Russian missiles, maybe we could have peace
Proposing partition plays straight into Russia’s hands and ignores the will of the Ukrainian people and just gives Putin a win. Kellogg - Special envoy to whom?
He knows better, his tone has shifted beyond recognition since being pressured into craven loyalty to Trump. In his last chapter of a career, this is his finale and legacy.
Whilst losing the respect of his daughter, working on the ground in Ukraine.
An American “supervised buffer zone” means nothing.
Russia is free to engage Ukraine up to the Dnipro, leaving just a rump state with European forces withholding any further Russian control of the Black Sea coast.
Wtf? At the very best that would mean the pause would give russia time to rearm then invade the Ukraine only segment, knowing full well that the US would cave in again. That's the best case scenario with that plan. The American administration are standing with fascist russia, they're not hiding it.
And to know, this is our world now because for some reason, 20 million votes disappeared, the 7 swing states all went to Trump, Musk admitted to ensuring this would happen, and no one is investigating, or are they?? @60minutes.bsky.social @democrats.org @us.theguardian.com @theatlantic.com
I miss nothing, control means at the time of negotiations. The battlefield will be frozen, their will be no significant withdrawals. Zelinski admits he cannot take back the land by military means. How do you expect to get it back?
That's it, that is what I see from Ukranian supporters like you. The Russian economy will collapse and Putin will give up. Western intelligence believes Russia can support the war at this level indefinitely. You have no answer. Zelinski does not either. The war will go on.
Thats why we in the west have to step up and ensure that russia is defeated and their colonies are liberated. A total sanction of russia, and massive investment in destabilisation of russia and support for their oppressed minorities. russia is much weaker than Germany during ww2, so can be defeated.
This is why there will be no lasting ceasefire. russia dont want to leave occupied Ukraine, and Ukraine and Europe cant let Ukrainian people in the occupied areas to be opressed, tortured and killed for the next 100 years. We have to fight til russia retreat. Afghanistan managed to defeat USSR…
Only mostly joking. Where does this Special Needs Envoy get off on suggesting that British and France forces can't defend whatever part of Ukraine they goddamn please, collaborationist fuck.
The term "POST-conflict" is a joke. As long as there are red parts on the map, the conflict is still ongoing.
Btw: And Russia has to pay reparations to UA for this war.
Without reparations no normalisation of the relationship between Europe and Russia.
To be honest, I don’t see any normalization of the EU relationship to russia within the next decade. I don’t see a place at the table of civilized nations for them in the near future. Russia decided to go full imperialist Tsardom, let them cook in their own rotten juice until there’s a REAL change.

It would be fairer
TrumpAdmin will be remembered as the worst American administration in world history.

Is Witkoff proposing to send the US army into Ukraine to support the russians?
But, then again, he is appointed by Trump.

What a pathetic old man.
No-one trusts him, no-one wants him.

Good for the West (bad for the rules based order)
And maybe Ukrainians will agree to it in the future, if only so soldiers can see their families and civilians can get some sleep.
I am saying it wouldn't be peace, and it wouldn't be the end of anything.
Also, did you miss that russia already "gave up" Kherson City - which they not only controlled but claimed was part of russia?
As to the latter, I don't pretend to predict the future but how did the Taliban take control of Afghanistan (twice)? How is the russian economy doing?
Yes, the war will go on. Did I claim otherwise?
Unfortunately the US voters choosing russia made that inevitable I think.
Especially if they are rewarded so fully for their aggression, and gifted people, geographical position, and resources for their next attack.
