I'm not sure what your exact question is, but milking healthy cows does not cause them pain; in fact, it provides them relief. Not milking them can cause discomfort or even pain to the animals.
oh ok that's good - i was worried also about the male calfs being sold for veal and how that relates to the milk in this recipe - does that cause discomfort to not be veal? thanks again
