Nope. People who want the “all natural” stuff already don’t trust scientists and experts because they’re “big pharma” or the experts are paid stooges. Let the rub fat on their faces.
The beef tallow beauty trend is just another facet of factory farming. And on top of that, it isn’t particularly effective as skincare. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7o91ys-KJI
Love this story! It's hilarious - these TikTok "creators" aren't even using tallow, it's just "grease" or "lard". Suet is the fat from around the kidneys, it's solid. They're just using muscle fat trimmings and the end product will go rancid while tallow does not.
You know, feces are all natural as well. So, let's get one of you social media influencers out there pushing the envelope for some attention on that. I'm sure that'll light up the toc.
Originally, McDonald's celebrated French fries were fried in beef tallow. In 1990, they were forced by public opinion to change to corn, soy and cottonseed oils to eschew saturated fats in favor of trans fats — and the celebration stopped.
Having worked in healthcare for a number if years, the health system will always be saturated by people doing stupid things—this just adds another thing to the list.
