But isn't that the instinct while playing sports?
Would understand if there's a common sense applied, i.e. if someone after first warning still argues gets a card etc. but we know Refereeing and common sense doesn't go hand in hand.
In a game of fine margins, I’m surprised that coaches don’t reinforce this stuff more. Don’t talk to refs, don’t kick the ball away, etc. you might get away with it, but you might also get a card - so why risk it?
Yeah but we've all been there in the heat of the moment it's really really difficult, I like when refs give stern look, warn and many times players do realise and back off. But you know some refs they just apply without common sense.
Tbh no. It's encouraged. I grew up playing rugby. If you argued with a ref, it's a penalty. Then another 10y. And another. And another. Footballers do it because they're allowed to do it and it works. Refs are influenced by it.
Yes in some cases, we know abt Fergie's utd, current City.
Bt u can often tell what's organised & what's organic.
While playing football/cricket was never told to protest infact oposite but still in the heat of moment it's hard not to protest or ask why, that's where common sense should be used.
Yeah but let's be real here. If it was a few players saying "sorry sir, can you explain your decision please... I understand, thank you" they wouldn't need this rule. Instead it's 10 players screaming at him calling him a fucking idiot.
Yeah, I don't mind this one on principle, but I'm sceptical about the implementation of it especially knowing what happens every year with this type of new rule... Shirt pull/grappling, surrounding the ref, delaying the restart, asking for card, all exists but all applied so randomly.

Ref 'Sorry Dec, I had no choice'
