Have had two pass from it, so know the signs. He lost his sister 5 months ago, who took great care of him-he never washed himself, she always did for him! No symptoms before then, but now, is failing fast. When he cannot be found, he is in her bed. Hollers for her at night. 💔Will miss him. TY 4 🙏.

I ask veterinarians how to feed cats to avoid it and get very little useful back. There are foods for cats in renal failure, but little is done for them while well. Or is it that we expect cats to live longer because we want them to? Thank you for being kind and caring ❤️‍🩹😻

vets will not tell you how to prevent. Some cats are genetically susceptible, and that's why, or so they have said to me.They CAN feel in their guts when they start shrinking tho. That is when you start them on preventative echinacea/push water intake, no dry food, more raw foods boiled chicken...

renal failure is at the highest level since records were kept. Dry food is very bad-stop feeding it, causes overweight/diabetes/kidney/liver/bladder issues. A product with Echinacea is good for urinary free flow which would benefit kidneys. Start at age 10. WET food only, dilute w/half water per can

No, don't expect them to live longer, but they USED to live much longer. It is the food they eat. Did look into doing a raw diet, but too many ingredients(do have a company that has food and recipes), but a LOT of work. The kidney diet is usually science diet, very expensive, not proven to add time.

And the raw food diet is not recommended right now due to avian flu. Birds, then chickens, then cows? Oh my. I looked into raw, but you have to buy taurine and other supplements to add in and I felt the commercial foods were safer. Lots of water points in house. Is Fortiflora safe, for example? 🤔🙄

This is Frank he was sneaking in our dog door to eat at night.
