An awful lot of people seem to want the Tortoise Observer to fail. I very much want it to succeed, and it's kind of depressing that that's apparently a niche opinion.

I’ve never been cool. Or kool. Or a nihilist. I do note that Harding ceased being a person with significant co trol of Tortoise Media Limited on 22 April 2025.
Tortoise have been on quite a journey since 2018, they’ve tried things, iterated, things haven’t worked and they iterated again… all openly, I will certainly continue to suport them
Rachel Johnson of all people broke the story of Neil Gaiman's abuse on there (and then Rachel Johnson of all people said he didn't want him cancelled for it)
Me too. I'm not sure what I'll read on Sunday if it doesn't.
Today's news section was a mess though.
It seems to want to be a magazine, but there's already the magazine and the new review.
Is it too much to hope that page 3 of the news section could be news? Page 5 looks awful too.
Which might be my problem. I've bought it for 35 years as a newspaper...
I'll keep going, because I don't see anything else I'd rather have put through my door on a Sunday morning. I imagine I'll get used to it...
