Green Party leadership frontrunner Zack Polanski tells me the UK must now end its membership of NATO, because of Trump.

Polanski says that Trump's presidency means the "Age of NATO is over" and his party should now abandon its commitment to the alliance

you can easily make the argument Merz and others on continental Europe are making where "We're not sure if NATO will even last with this kind of POTUS" but outright leaving is silly and shows a lack of political nous to dodge obvious traps.

If you want to build an ETO + Canada or whatever you all simply remain in NATO for the interoperability and ignore the Americans. If he was saying something adjacent this it'd be fine but 1) he isn't 2) he doesn't have the credibility to take nuanced positions

Just how counter intuitive it is. My o/h used to work for PowerGen and they were looking for a site for a new data center. They ruled out a building at large (2000MW) local power station because of unreliable electrical supply.
