to be honest, as much as i play stellaris, i've always assumed the outcome where you play some random alien race that comes across Sol III as a bombed out tomb world overrun by cockroaches and little else is the canon outcome

You can see the rationale that (reasonably) lays Oct. 7 on Iran's door and says "this for that" but Oct. 7 wasn't the "start" of anything.

I’m siding with nothing ever happens and for some reason the US and Israel never have to face any consequences for their actions so yeah it’s possible they might just be able to do so
