On one hand the Iranians are very often all bark and little bite, but it does seem credible to me they are preparing for a years-long conflict while the Israeli's and especially the US is looking to be home by the 4th of July. I think even folks here on Bluesky tend to assume this will be over soon

A lot of people who supported the Uncommitted activists or stayed silent about them when many of us warned that Trump and Harris are in fact different on foreign policy are now big mad at Trump. What are you mad about? You got the outcome you wanted. Harris lost and Trump is doing what we expected.

I actually think there's an opportunity--one that Schumer's much-maligned comment invites--to withhold most Dem support based on a Congressional prerogative stance. Schumer would ordinarily back Israel unquestioningly. But bc Trump didn't (and won't) consult, it makes it easier to peel off Dems.

Reminder that none of this would've been possible if not for the neocons manipulating Trump's hatred of Obama to kill the JCPOA. From there, safeguards became unconstrained enrichment and all the scary things they're trotting out became possible. Be careful buying what these guys are still selling.
