Anybody who doesn't dive or support the fact that embellishing has become a strategy that coaches encourage is a GOAT in my book, so I hope he fills that criteria.
Insanely talented. Seems to be keeping his head firmly on his shoulders. Heβs not the best yet but so what. At 17, his trajectory is scary-impressive.
He has crazy quality and a head for the game and maturity that defies his age. Let's not make broad brush statements like "best player in the world" - those sorts of things are very difficult to justify even with the all time greats. But, Lamine has a brilliant set of talents.
Whatever people say about him in relation to other players he is a joy to watch and more players should be taking the game to opponents the way he does.
Ridiculous level of close control, agility and feather-soft touch. He places the ball rather than direct it. Being in the Ballon D'or conversation at 17 says it all. I hope we get to enjoy him as long as we've been able to enjoy Messi.
Heβs an incredible talent and obviously may someday become the best in the world, but as of today heβs not even the best winger on his own team can we please chill out a little bit?
Nah, he's not. He's not that clinical yet. But he is already more skillful than 90% of the wingers. More skillful than both Ronaldo and Messi was at 17, for sure. If he can continue like this and can stay fit, he'll be the best in a couple of years. And win ballon d'or as well.
