Small studios have 3.5 reasonable options for Switch/PS5/XBOX and they're all WILDLY different engines.

Just so we're all clear: moving away from Unity is a HUGE cost for small devs. Learning new systems for alternatives is an immediate, *massive* problem.

Your "scoff, why would anyone even use Unity any more?" hot take is not particularly grounded in practicality, I'm afraid.
