I did so much yard work today and found the first tiny strawberries on our mid-lawn volunteers. I always mow very carefully around three clumps of them that appeared last year, hah.

I hope your plant puts out enough for you AND the birds!
In my case, 𝘈𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 (Black Slug) is more likely to eat them since there are about 50 of them on my lawn at any given point.
