I often wonder why some people react so negatively to helping people. Were you not helped, so it's unfair? Are you buying into the lie that poverty is somehow the fault of the people in poverty? Not due to systemic problems like horrifically high costs for everything and gutting the safety net?

Some of you don’t seem to understand we are demanding welfare to be raised to the poverty line.

This still means people would basically be considered in poverty.

No one is being offered free mansions in Brighton.

What are you missing out on if other people are helped?
