green is a cvt, purple is a potential transformer, red is a transformer (fairly low voltage, its p tiny), blue is a switch (really two switches stacked). i was a drafter and physical designer for substations for like 8 yrs, lemmme know if u need any specifics
beautiful, thank you. last question: a lot of substation transformers i see pictures of have a cylinder thing attached to them in varying configurations. the one in the original picture does not appear to have this. what's that all about?
that transformer is oil cooled, same as an oil cooled pc, a bunch of internal parts are suspended in an non-conductive oil that cycles up into that tank to cool back down
transformers can also be cooled with radiators and fans though, also typically these days oil cooled transformers have to sit on top of some kind of big gravel pit with a deep foundation that surrounds it to contain the oil in case of equipment failure/fires
