They are a regular sight in the UK. Lots of the "VW van people" (of which we have many) HATE them. I drive a VW Transporter 6.1 which is sort of it's fossil fuel predecessor and you know what I kind of like the new one. Good family kid and gear hauler.
Like too many cars these days, it's way too big. I was excited to see it at the Chicago Auto Show last year and was disappointed at the size. It's over 2 feet longer than the original, 6 inches taller, and 9 inches wider.
I was on the site earlier and you could change the interior colors, maybe it was just on the model I was looking at. Not planning to buy one anytime soon tho.
I love it. Only two complaints. Wish it had a third seat, wish it were all wheel drive. Both of those options are available now but weren’t when I bought it
North America only gets the long wheelbase version. I was initially disappointed at that fact, but I’ve come to realize it’ll be helpful as our kids get bigger.

The hippies that drove the original would roll over in their graves if they saw the pricetag.
I wanted to love it but it's massive.
Just for kicks we decided to test drive one.
Long story short: Ours is supposed to arrive May 12.
We settled on charcoal blue/white, but decision was driven in part by fear of what our kids might do versions with a white or tan interior.
If orange/white had a darker interior option I’d have seriously considered it.
This is very close to my ideal EV.
