Actually he didnt say he paid for it. He said he found a way to get it. He clearly stole it. Also he could have stolen a good game but I mean look who we are talking abput.
God dang it. Can we stop forcing games to be so dang expensive! it feels like we are doing it because everyone else is doing it. 70 I can accept ok fine I gave up but 80! why the fuck! and the game is definitely going to have DLC and other games would definitely have DLC AND MICROTRANZACTIONS.
I can only hope. I know the guys lower down are really passionate about the franchise. I’m just worried that jumping STRAIGHT into Alloyed Collective after releasing the final fix for SoTS doesn’t seem like a good strategy. Those guys need rest for a bit.
As far as I know we don't have a confirmed release date for Alloyed Collective so hopefully there's a good amount of time before release. I absolutely do agree with the developers deserving a bit of break
So correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think "true fans" equals to "oh yes please take all my money corporate daddy i don't need it for any reason whatsoever"
This is how it works for rich scum like that. These nepo babies just ask a friend's daddy for some extra cash they squirreled away via tax evasion and bam, a few grand or a new house. They can't imagine actually working for money or needing to, say, pay for food for kids.
"True fans" are waiting for Anthony Burch to come scriptwrite for a new, offshoot game based on Borderlands, in order to distance from the rotten roots of the series while maintaing what made it good in the first place.
Haven’t seen one yet but I’ll be fine being proven wrong. Needs to be an 11/10, so much content or support I could spend several years not seeing it all. A game made by fans for the fans. The devs are listening to the player base’s wishes and delivering more than asked. I’ll pay premium for premium
I agree but that’s more of a DLC situation. More talking off rip on release $80 price tag for completed product, no additions. If it released with it begin with, sure. Currently after etc time after release feels strange paying full price
taking the DLC out of the equation then, the game launched at $60 at a time when publishers were starting to push the $70 AAA price point out across all platforms, and even the base game STILL beats the pants off of the majority of the titles put out at the time. 1/2
In 1990 super mario bros 3 cost 49.99. In today’s dollars that would be 122.70. On top of that games cost orders of magnitude more to develop and offer many more hours of entertainment. I get it, capitalism sucks, but this constant complaining over reasonable prices is childish.
Interesting, the amount of today’s dollars I get doesn’t seem to be making up the difference there. It’s almost like no one’s income has nearly tripled in a way that would make a tripled cost of games manageable.
So true bestie, I love paying more for things. I mean sure, I could pay less for it, but then how would I give Corporation my money? Corporation *needs* my money!
Well, if my previous purchases of anything Borderlands is an indication, I'm a true fan if the series goes on sale and is an entry that isn't overly obnoxious.
He’s actually telling the truth. Once I was broke and about to get evicted until a guy told me to just find some money. Suddenly I had billions and billions of dollars that I could spend on necessities, like copies of borderlands 4!
Huh. So the ENTIRE LEFT ARM I have dedicated to the series with tattoo ink, doesn't make me a fan eh? At that price, this will probably be the first Borderlands title I don't play on launch day.
$80 should be for like, the premium-mega-pre-order-we-give-you-another-psycho-mask, price.
Gearbox has a really bad track record at this point, and I'm pretty sure it's because Randy Pitchford is 1: a greedy moron, and 2: addicted to boofing Dumb Bitch Juice

Console stuff too.
If I ever play this it's gonna be after the eventual big price drop.
Now I want out of it.
Also STOP MAKING DLCS FOR RISK OF RAIN 2 WE DON’T WANT ANY MORE AFTER HOW BADLY SEEKERS OF THE STORM RELEASED
for as scummy as gearbox can be, I think there's good reason to believe that the new ror2 dlc will be good
I’m 100% convinced this game isn’t worth $70

Nah.
I'd rather play hell divers. A game I already own and know is fantastic
80$ is fucking delusional for a borderlands game
If I'm ever touching BL4, it'll be on deeeeeeeeeeep discount.

More money for me to spend on better games
