When using Microsoft Word or Google Docs, don't just make text bigger and bolder to make it a heading. That will work for sighted users, but screen reader users will miss that and just hear it as normal paragraph text. Use actual heading styles, like level 1 through 6.

instead of gdocs/Word
its end-to-end encrypted & doesnt force AI on you
Format your heading 1 however you like, highlight it, then under “styles,” right-click the H1 and select “update H1 to match selection” (similar process in both Word and Google docs), then repeat for H2 and beyond.
If you always use the same ones you can even set up your own document theme with your styles, colours etc saved.
Good tip.
