Even though it seems like our democracy is eroding and about to torpedo, kids need to know what we were working towards and what someday they can hopefully restore. Our history isn’t perfect of course but it’s made progress and that has always given me hope for a better tomorrow. Keep that hope - ThreadSky

I would love to find a book that spells out a clear vision of what "what we were working towards" really means and imagines what our country could look like if those ideals were fully realized.

Thank you for this message. My son is completing his undergrad in US history/education, msgs like yours mean the world rn as everyone tells him he has no future work. He was so excited to start teaching.. They want us to despair, but history teaches these are the times resistance matters most!

And the truth! He definitely has a bright future and maybe I’m a little biased here but I truly believe now is when we need good US history teachers most! The ones that will tell our kids the truth and not accept rewriting history. He’s got this and we need people like him teaching our kids! ❤️
