Really really not science: this is probably the American equivalent of the frikandel speciaal, at least when on Folly Beach. @magnuspalmblad.bsky.social (and where is Robbin?!)

Underneath where you get your hotdogs are empty boxes from the store, and you use them to carry your hotdogs. Only having one dog in this box is a bit lonely, but you get the idea of how it could hold a few.
And yes, it is also pretty funny. Side note: I grew up not far from Little Debbie.
(Sorry I don't know how to tag people)
So on Folly, the beach near where I live, there is a convenience store that's been around forever (Bert's; has beer, guitar strings, wax, etc.), and a hotdog is still $1.25 (in the DIY holder). On a Saturday night they are ready for a 2 am rush.
.... and TIL it has only been out there about as long as I have been in town (2004 for me). Who knew! I thought it was from the 70s or 80s. Has been providing me with unhealthy snacks for decades!
Tasty! I went to Oz as a kid and I remember the sausage tasted weird, but that was likely cause I just didn't appreciate it. But then all the beets! Again, I think if I returned I would like it much more.
ha, no (maybe get those in parking lot). you use empty boxes from the store to load up your hotdogs. always random what you get to use. but little debbie cosmic brownies are definitely "newer", but still little debbies. side note is little debbie is in Collegedale, TN, not far from childhood home.
