I agree completely that it’s a lousy practice, but to be safe, I create actual passwords for them and store them.

Hopefully the adoption of passkeys will continue and make all of this irrelevant.

Worse… you have to reliably know WTF you were thinking 6 yrs ago when you chose "What year did you abandon your dreams?" as a Q. I've see sites that let you WRITE YOUR OWN QUESTION! And I had a big argument w/ a Dev once that insisted answers be CASE-SENSITIVE! So it's theatre but it's also hostile.
