This is my cat Dexter, named after the character from the books/Showcase TV show. Today, my wife and I had to say goodbye to him. It was sudden and unexpected. I apologize for the very sad post, but he meant so much to us.

So very sorry for your loss. I don't think non-cat people understand how deep the connection is between a cat and its people. I hope you can keep your heart open and eventually adopt another kitty to also love.
Having lost 2 sweet cat boys in 3 years, I totally understand. They have such special personalities & they charm their way into your soul.( I now have 3 cats that have a lock on my heart. But I also have all the great memories of the others. Lucky me).I hope your ❤️ & home will be open to another.
SO sorry this happened to Dexter and know how much this hurts you and your family. Same happened to us and after a couple of months, we adopted another rescue kitty in our Cinder's honor. May your hearts be lightened by sweet memories of Dexter.

Our cat Alex joined your Dexter yesterday on his way over the rainbow bridge. It was also sudden and unexpected. Walking the way with another kitty might have felt less lonely for them. I'm sorry for your lose and share your sadness
I’m so sorry for your loss, and an unexpected loss is just the worst. Thinking of you and your wife. I unexpectedly lost my Jolly a few weeks ago, and it’s devastating. Hopefully they go to a place where we can see them again. Take care.
I’m so very sorry to hear this. We just lost a very special cat about a week ago. It was also sudden and unexpected. We are reeling. I feel your pain. They take up so much space in our hearts and homes and lives. Amazing little beings. I can’t believe they love us as much as they do.
I'm so sorry. I lost a cat just before Christmas during COVID and I'm going to lose a soul dog/best friend/kid within days. I know your grief must be extreme and the holiday season compounds sorrow. Bless you.
Thank you. She has battled for years and deserves better. I've told her not to worry about my tears because the love will continue and I want her free of pain. I've told her for two years it is okay to signal her desire to move on. She simply had other plans.

Sweet boy. I am SO sorry for your loss. Losing them to advanced age or prolonged illness in hard enough but suddenly and unexpectedly leaves so many questions and guilt.
