Very unlikely to allow same sex marriage, so your best hope is to have the church allow sex outside wedlock. But I seriously doubt that. So the best will be it is ok to be LlBTQI+ as long as it is theoretical.

They will never allow sex outside of marriage in our lifetimes. They could revise this wording though. This is from the Congregation For the Doctrine of the Faith (Ratzinger, 1986) "LETTER TO THE BISHOPS OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
ON THE PASTORAL CARE OF HOMOSEXUAL PERSONS." It's so, so offensive.
I'm not religious, but it seems to me that having faith is an approach to living your own life - you can derive nurture and support from your faith and that of those who share it. Fine - nice to have if you want it.
Where is the bit that says everyone else has to conform to the same template?
Unfortunately various religions have that bit written all over their books. Doesnβt mean the rest of us have to follow it. I left the Catholic Church and religion 38 years 10 months and 27 days ago.
I have battled this one since schooldays, and compulsory chapel! I could never understand why I had to abide by somebody else's personal belief system.
It's even less justifiable when it informs legislation that applies to us all, "believers" or not - it makes no logical sense.
Barbara King argues that while non-human primates are not religious, they do exhibit some traits that would have been necessary for the evolution of religion. These traits include high intelligence, a capacity for symbolic communication, a sense of social norms, and realization of "self" continuity.
Oh believe me I know. Iβm looking for small steps forward. Pope Francis encouraged blessings for same sex couples. Looking for more of that. Less hate, more love.
