This reminds me a lot of Data70 (I just looked up its name), which I feel really nostalgic about from things like Ralph Bakshi's Wizards.

It's always weird to encounter things that are a product of what people fifty years ago thought the world would be like fifty years from now.

For this font I wanted the feel of those old 'techy' covers/posters (more even then the actual retro fonts) so I combined several styles of font often used together.

"computer" fonts (like data70), "modernist" block fonts (like futura display) and funky/psychedelic fonts (like sintex on wizards)

The title for Wizards uses Sintex, but, in the movie, when text showed up on the screen to indicate the bad people, it came up in data70 or something really similar.

Its funny with these 'computer' fonts, because yeah, they were right, computers were the future. But E-13b numbers (inspiration for data70) were the present, and are now the past, not really being used in new applications

I didn't know about E-13b, and Googling it, I was about to figure out why it was made and thus why data70 looks like that (basically, early OCR for checks found E-13b easier to parse).

Retrofuturism seems to be having a moment, partly because so many francises have outlived their tech eras.
