A shockingly unexpected result. Lfc have started dropping points lately. We just haven’t taken advantage. But we haven’t been totally cut adrift either. 🤷♂️

Liverpool does not take advantage.
We do have what it takes. We just have been beat by injuries.
Don’t understand how Nunez didn’t see red for that shocking shoulder to the face of de Ligt. Liverpool should have been down to 10 for the final 20 minutes (including extra time)
Having played before them, and with so many players being out, this seems like we got out of the jail. I’m feeling much better now than I was after the Brighton game. All things considered we stay put for a week and hopefully closer to getting players back.
This season is like that flirtatious girl at school who only has you in the friendzone. Now we can believe for a whole 2 weeks until the next rejection at the cinema that you thought was a date.
It makes me feel worse about yesterday's result. Liverpool are going through their difficult period, losing points and we are missing the opportunity. Liverpool are not City, in that they won't win every game, but we are running out of games to make up the 9 point gap
I don't think this result makes that much difference really, as we're missing every chance we have to close the gap and it was a pretty healthy headstart to begin with.
We're also gonna keep dropping more points because our injuries only seem to be stacking up further.
Actually think our next 2 are massive even if it‘s not in the PL. Get a good result Tue & beat United in the cup. Gets us momentum into the home fixtures vs Spu*s & Villa. Liverpool have difficult fixtures away from home. But we need fit players, more power and a forward signing to stay with them.
We're in a better position compared to Friday. No points gained or lost, but another tough away game less for us, another home banker less for them. We have the easier fixtures left. Let's see!
They dropped points to this United with a full squad, we dropped points against Brighton with half of our team injury and the rest playing with diarrhea, and a unbelievable penalty that will never be given again. And yet our fan base is collectively losing our minds
how many of our players are injured? Same excuse. Arteta didn’t start the most attacking team and was thinking Brighton were going to sit and watch us score them
Arteta didn't start Ødegaard bc he had the same sickness Haverts had, he said in the pre game match, anyway I just saw your TL and all you know is complain and whine, be free to dp that, but not on my TL
Um, our attacking options on the bench were Martinelli and an ill Ødegaard. Ethan started over Martinelli and had our only goal. The lineup was not a tactical decision.
We have dropped points against two mediocre teams. The reason is that we did not strengthen in the summer. In fact, the squad was shrunk. We just can't deal with the absences of key players. Joint smallest squad in the league, and it shows.
Who can deal with absense of key players? Also, who could deal with 5 first team absences? Also, Liverpool dropped points against mediocre teams with a full squad.
When City lost Harlaand, what happened then? The fact is we have a small squad. Joint smallest in the league, we do not have a great bench to call upon full stop.
100% agreed, but not just our fans, but the PL punditry. I guarantee the prevailing narrative over the next day will be “small blip for Liverpool, but also United might be back!”
100%. If we didn’t have an autumn that consisted of 3 red cards in 4 games and no Odegaard, nothing in the last several weeks would seem to be problematic at all (and it still shouldn’t!)
Another thing that was punctured today was Liverpool’s invincibility. United didn’t steal a point; they deserved it, and maybe deserved 3. This Liverpool side does not look like a juggernaut. They will drop more points. We just need to be better about taking advantage when they do.
One way to look at it is, the only way we win the tittle is if we win at Anfield. So we only need Liverpool to drop points in 3 games more games than us. They have a tougher schedule than us. Let’s just not leave ourselves wondering what if by not getting a forward this month.

Not bad considering

Sorry to be a downer!
Peace
City lost Rodri and went to shit, with a big and better squad than us
Pool the season they lost van dijk almost missed CL (or missed I don't remember)
There's a reason key players are key players mate
We’ve already played most of our difficult away games in PL and are in 2nd place with 2 total losses.
Not at all bad imho
Arsenal's last 7 fixtures: 4 wins, 3 draws!
You could look at it 2 ways, we failed to capitalize and catch up
Or
They failed to bury us when they had the chance
Forest
Brentford
Bournemouth
Man City 👀
