I think it's really important to remember how much time FDR put into managing public perception and building narratives. Overseeing significant economic change while barely being able to talk will destroy your popularity 100% of the time

So why did voters hate Joe Biden personally so fucking much?

If it was anything to do with his speech, it was how old he sounded (but again, listen to Trump's vitiated shadow of his voice in 2016)

2) for when one has a preponderance of choice there are debates on what is the sublime unconscious ideal…all those different
pretty much Biden was cooked come 2022 if he could not perform the job, and especially cooked when one is reorganizing social relations even if it’s win/win
thinking of it like a move where you switched jobs and got a 45% pay raise, you wanted to move, you wanted to switch jobs, but the stress of boxes some days kicks your ass
It’s not like Biden himself needed to be out there talking about all the good he was doing. He had a whole army of people who could do that for him.
They just … didn’t.
Were they all individually and collectively that utterly ignorant of history and psychology?
But there are professionals at this, and it’s not like Biden didn’t have ALL of the resources available.
It’s not that they tried and failed. It’s that they didn’t even try. As far as I can tell they didn’t see any need. Huh??!
But I just can’t buy “Biden too busy”. He was US PRESIDENT FFS.
He’s perma-busy, and the ultimate delegator but he has infinite resources.
