And! I've realized that a lot of the things I judge myself for are things that a) I'd never notice about someone else and b) no one even notices about me. Like ok brain, thanks for fixating on things that don't matter!

mine have learned the exact sound of ANC being active and resort to physical prodding instead of yelling because they know the ANC drivers in my headset have been manually overvolted to compensate for my bionic right ear

the mistaken belief(reinforced by basically everything in society) that you have control over those things because they're yours, and probably the internalized belief that no one else likes those features(again, because they're not societally reinforced as ideal)
