Ha seriously! Ok like the guitar sounds exactly varispeed pitch (esp the bends), but they’re playing it at the tempo here? Doesn’t make sense..?

They can both play very well and fast but I believe they used to speed up the tape on the early recordings

I took my grandfather to see Les Paul when Les was 86 and he still ripped.

My father took me to see Les Paul at Iridium sometime in the early 2000s and it was awesome

I remember Les Paul needing help to get on and off the stage, but his fingers were still lightning-fast when he played
