Yesterday, I ran my first #marathon, and I’m incredibly proud of how well I did: 2:48:39 (6:26/mile), 17th overall, 17th among men, 8th among men 30–39!
I have run 15 (maybe 16?) half marathons, but never—till yesterday—a full. But now I have! At the @runcolfax.bsky.social (yes, a mile high)!

Incredible timing
- glad you didn't fall, and found somebody to run with! The mental state that late in a marathon is so fragile and strange
- the not-quite cramping sabotaged my last Boston completely, I couldn't move miles 20-22 or so
I got to run a race with Kipchoge! I mean, it's just incredible.
Congrats, and hope to see you in New England next year!
Got my 2nd lined up for December (CIM), plus working with a running coach to have some more focused training.
