Just watched it, diagnosed last year at 65. Autism also picked up and waiting for that assessment now. Needing an informant when everyone has gone is hard but what hit home is that no one knows me and none really have. Did this doodle way before I knew. (Inspired by Brian Eno)
Oh meant to say, cried almost all the way through as resonated so much! I wish I could get people to understand! This was the best explanation I've seen so thank you.
Really excellent and educational! Most of my friends have ADHD and I find them fascinating and charming. "Beautiful chaos" is a lovely description! 💚. Also, watching 'Asperger's And Me" changed my life for the better after realising that was me. Thank you for your crucial work 🙏☺️⭐️.
Watching right now, at the point with the women in Bristol. My GP's response 7 months ago when I first approached him, 'everybody's got ADHD these days.' And when I had to press and press and press... 'if you're that bothered you should go private'.
Thank you for last nights show. Father of 2 adhd boy and girl in their 20’s with wildly different symptoms and an undiagnosed wife. It gave a totally new insight to me. Loved the idea of making the films. You presented with compassion. Well done !
Just watched the ADHD one. With 19 years experience as a secondary teacher, I should understand all this already… but these (and the autism episodes) are more instructive than any training I’ve ever had. Thank you so much. Also - can’t wait for Springwatch!
I'm AuDHD, really enjoyed this. Thank you for pushing back on the 'over diagnosis' narrative. Good to have reminders that I'm not just 'shit at life', as I often feel I am.
That was an amazing programme Chris and many thanks for it. Any thoughts of a follow up program on how to deal with it / help a family member with it? Trying to get someone to recognise they have it but it's just another ball being thrown at them at the moment.
Great work 🙏
Superb work Chris, though dammit I cried at Henry's film. I've described my brain as like having a tornado whirling round me with me trying to pluck the tasks out of it when I can't see what they are, so TombolaMan was not dissimilar.
Looking forward to the dyslexia one too. An excellent series.
As a family, we increasingly look at ourselves - and our extended relations – thinking what a bizarre group of polar opposites we are.
We await your next episode on dyslexia with baited breath; and will perhaps make the concerted effort this time to watch it together…
Watched your prog with interest Chris. You commented on the terminology: I prefer to use ADHS - ‘syndrome’ rather than the disparaging term ’disorder’. Let’s make a difference & adopt ‘ADHS’ 🌷
Just watched on iPlayer. Wow! I'm 61, no formal Dx but it's clear to me I have ADHD. Henry's film was brilliant & allowed me to show my husband the inside of my head for the first time. Please pass on my thanks to Henry. And so much of Jo's story & film resonated too. Thank you for making this x
Wonderful series of programmes. Thank you for helping me to have some insight into how people experience living with, firstly Autism, then ADHD (S!) and Dyslexia. Far more involved than the 'sound bite' versions.
Recording it so my daughter can watch, will hopefully help her understand her own brain better (and help me and her dad to understand her better too) ❤️
Thank you so much for this Chris. It was just lovely to hear a sympathetic voice and to let people speak candidly about their experiences, and the effect that it has had on their lives, careers, and the people around them. Again I thank you. Warmest wishes.

The treatment of women is shocking.
Thank you.
Great work 🙏
Looking forward to the dyslexia one too. An excellent series.
👍
Wife’s friend from university diagnosed ADHD in her late 50s
Consultant in the Netherlands couldn’t believe how she had managed so well to date
The group of uni friends thought being forgetful (wrong dates, clothes etc) & “scatty” was simply part of her lovely personality
We await your next episode on dyslexia with baited breath; and will perhaps make the concerted effort this time to watch it together…
The problem is not them. It’s with us for not understanding.
Thank you Chris for airing this.
