2) WiFi - The MAC has the location registered to the ISP for your router.
VPN avoids this, but some VPNs release your ISP info if subpoenaed.

Glad I went with my instincts and pawned the Alexa someone gave me as a Christmas gift. Voice assistants aren't worth having your home bugged 24/7.
For everyone else: convenience & love of gadgets they think will make life easier.
There always seems to be a trade-off w/ ‘convenience’ tech tho. Usually at customer expense.
