Good luck Republicans. I'm skeptical as shit, but I'd be glad if they stood up to this horrid appointment. Granted, not putting actual pedos in charge of the DOJ is a low bar to clear. Let's see if they make it!
This is a Senator who didn’t read plan 2025. Pres Elect doesn’t need his party. This is my biggest worry that politicians are too fixed in what was to understand the full ramifications of hollowing out the govt and bypassing Congress.
Clinton had 2 AG's get knocked off because they had undocumented nannies, Gaetz's def should get knocked off for trying to knock up a young babysitter age girl!!!
My thoughts - they are 100% gonna cave and vote to approve Gaetz and all the others. They don't have the spine. They are scared, weak sycophants w/no integrity or morals. "Profiles in Courage" could NOT be written today.
despite trying to pretend they have independence, integrity and principles they’re all going to go along with it in the end, it’s what republicans do, being a lemming is their defining characteristic
He's the MAGA movement leader not the Republican party leader that's for sure. I just hope there are enough Republicans who are willing to work as a trustee to their constituents.
These people who have to live with what's left of the reputation of the Republican party know that Trump is toxic. The tippy-toeing to do the right thing while not getting thrown into the MAGA fire is entertaining, to say the least.
Just doesn’t seem like good politics to sit back and allow an anarchist have his way. Congress has more power if they perform their duties to check the executive. Let HIM take it to the Supremes, make Trump prove that he has the right. Make scotus rule. Everybody put their cards on the table early.
I for one will enjoy watching Republicans have to adjust to a post-trump landscape when they don't have their electoral cash cow on the ballot. MAGA won't turn out for any other republican.
He doesnt want the consensus of his party not all them are lackey sheep to be lead to the slaughter but rather those who are cult loyal that will rubber stamp his every idea and call him king.
We’re going to find out if these republicans actually care about this country or if they only care about their own wealth and power. I fear for our country…
Cramer is a butt-clown of the highest order. He couldn't clap hard enough the last time when Drumpf screwed up all the farm trade agreements despite claiming to be all for the farmers. And he'll be there to clap again for all the unqualified nominations when the time comes.
It's a really big, sad admission by trump that his picks are the weakest picks ever made....and couldn't even pass even a cursory background check, let alone an actual confirmation hearing with the most agreeable Senate ever....
So Republicans are saying no they will not do recess appointments. Which means the Republicans will absolutely cave to Trump and do them. When the pesky filabuster gets in their way I am sure they will do away with that as well.
It might not be up to the senators. The current stupidity is to have the house adjourn. Then, if the senate refuses, the president adjourns them both under article II of the constitution, and then do them.
Plus if Trump doesn’t nominate anyone for the post, they can’t be removed.
But if you read that, it was more complicated because the house was led by democrats. With both houses, it would easy for the house to adjourn, then declare the senate didn’t conform, at which the article would be used.
Excuse me. This is trumps team. You f course they’re dumb and ill informed.
Doesn’t mean they have to believe in fairy tales from the heritage foundation when they can just play the “let scotus tell us it’s ok” book, and hope it works.
That was the theory behind impeachment. Ukraine package. All other sort of things.
Republicans talk big, then kiss the ring and hope Democrats will solve things fir them.
The GOP will close ranks and vote for his picks for fear of retribution. Because that’s where we are now. The Revenge Term. What a time to be an American!🤦♀️
Hence no half a brain in any of those skulls. I mean, Trump is kind of immune (literally and figuratively) but other people in his circle have paid the price.
Exactly. If they had done what they should have done after J6, the whole political landscape would be different now.
Instead we're dealing with the nuclear fallout from Trump 2.0
Oh, FFS. Are we really going to do this again? He'll be just fine with recess appointments if/when they happen. Dude is just barking nonsense into the camera.
Republicans haven’t been able to govern in 4 years. They voted out their house leader and failed to pass any meaningful legislation, opting instead to try and block the will of over 80 million voters…why would people think they’re suddenly all going to ‘fall in line’?
Makes you wonder if Senate Republicans realize no one is safe with Gaetz considering what he did to McCarthy.
They have only themselves to blame for the current situation. They had the opportunity to convict Trump and remove him from politics forever.
Now he will control politics, perhaps forever
Cramer must be confused. Does he really think Trump's party is the Republican party? They let the MAGA Trojan Horse into power and he thinks saying "It would be unwise to do that" will stop Trump from doing anything?
Gaetz does not qualify for appointment as Acting Attorney General under the Federal Vacancies Reform Act of 1998. The FVRA requires appointees to be:
A senior official in the same department.
Previously confirmed by the Senate for another role.
A senior federal officer for at least 90 days prior.
I am ashamed to be from ND. It is amazing Cramer can stand with no backbone. I have observed him for years, riding the fence on anything controversial.
I hate the idea of using recess appointments if you cannot get the party votes, saying this as a registered Republican. I would not approve Democrats doing it and do not approve Republicans doing it either.

he only needs you for what he truly needs you for, he ain’t gonna work to build consensus and he ain’t gonna take “no” for an answer.
He’s a freaking dictator and you’re wasting time pretending otherwise
Spineless.
They’ll cave.
Oh wait...same thing.
I’ve had this happen too many times expecting republicans to have even an ounce of courage…
Such pansy-ass reactions
Like a kitten against a bulldoser

Trump does not have the support of his whole party never has, just a strong base of support.
Republicans are just as happy to see him fail as democrats.
Weird but true.
Republicans talk big, then kiss the ring and hope Democrats will solve things fir them.

Good to see you here, Tim! 🦋

They will fall right in line with the loyalist Republicans and vote every single one of Trump’s appointees and. Mark my words on this post.
