Even a talented guy can hit a bad note now and then. These pitch correction programs can save you completely redoing a long bit of vocal or guitar solo. I have home versions of these apps and they are real time savers and I'm not paying a ton per hour for studio time.

Autotune is often used as an effect in the same way as distortion, chorus, delay, reverb etc. Plenty of incredibly talented people use it. Imagine Prince's music with no effects. Sure his songs might still be good, but it's definitely a big part of how he sounded. A.I. on other hand can get lost.

I've run sound for a live folk concert series for like 8 years, without any artists using autotune, and no one has ever sang out of tune. (I have a decent sense of pitch and can tell).

Meh. It's the same argument as when people were upset about electric guitars vs acoustic way back when. What people are really mad about is how the industry uses these tools rather than the tools themselves, but the tools still get all the focus.

Never heard that one. The ones I hear the most are that it's over done or that it sounds like crap. Occasionally you get a vocal coach or someone like arguing that it creates a false standard and easy cheat, but that's all the ones I've heard.

Someone like T Pain has spent his entire career being accused of having no talent because of autotune. Have you heard the man sing without it? He’s brilliant and the autotune is an effect used for creating a certain sound. It’s unfair to say that people who use it have no talent.

I agree with the AI stance, but auto tune can be used for artistic choices like Daft Punk, a talented electronic band. Or Porter Robinson, another talented artist. It's only lazy when someone's clearly covering up their mistakes. Talent still exists, not all good music was made from the 60s to 80s.
