i really don't know, the future is unwritten and i can't read it even if it were written, but planning a lightning war on the federal government feels like the kind of thing you don't really want to telegraph for two months in advance, but that's exactly what we're seeing

I was in the Guard. The Regular Army has a serious "we are better than they are problem".
It's not that the Guard doesn't have it's weaknesses, but it's not fundamentally different.
So taking a VERY junior officer, from the JV, and putting him in charge of the Pros... problem.
