I hated how often Rs called these cops "a few bad apples", constantly, during the George Floyd protests. The figure of speech means the whole bunch is spoiled
Nothing made me mistrust cops more than interning at a DA’s office. The office that is supposed to hold cops accountable is the same one that is entirely dependent on them to not destroy/taint evidence and show up for court testimony.
The system gives them too much power right from the start.
