We should all remain skeptical of the police. They’ve been known to release false narratives to the public.
Should also be noted the family disagrees with the police’s conclusions. And they pointed out multiple factual errors the police made including her age.
They should still make contact with her to make sure she is ok. She could have lost her memory or something else.. are they sure it’s her? I remember when they thought that family of 4 crossed too years ago & then they found them buried in the desert years later.
There is something so off about this whole situation. People Magazine reported that details police had been sharing were incorrect and whatever info they do have, hasn’t been shared with the family. It’s been confusing since the beginning. Hope they get closure and she is truly safe.
At all! We can all feel it! And just know there’s something more that’s not being said about this situation. I feel for her dad tho. So sad he took his own life
She wasn’t dead. She was missing. If her father was that overcome, that he couldn’t focus on trying to find his daughter then it’s highly likely that he had some mental issues that he was dealing with. That is not her fault.
While her father took his own life. Something is going on with this situation. I think after hearing that, the police will stop looking for her and leave the situation be. So sad abt her father tho.
She's having some type of mental break or disconnect. There's no reason she couldn't have called at least her sister. Something is amiss with her right now.
She's 30 and has been seen alone the whole time through all these places she's gone, so police have no reason to force her home. Looking at her IG page, she seems like the type who would disappear to take photos. It's really crazy how this escalated and now her Dad is gone.
Why couldn't she just have left straight for Mexico on her own, then? What was the point in making it a part of her trip to NY? I don't understand that part if she just wanted away from everyone.
He killed himself. There's security footage of him jumping off a higher level on a parking garage. Really tragic. He might have thought she was kidnapped or killed and couldn't take the pain of that.
Why before a flight from Cali to NY to see family, knowing they are waiting for you, if you wanted to intentionally ghost reality nearby in Mexico? I need them to investigate further because she could've just told her family she needed a break, withholding where she would stay.
So then why not fly straight from Hawaii (to Cali) to Mexico on a random day instead of on a day they were expecting to meet you because a trip was planned. Why the strange texts after going "missing"? Idk
To create a diversion, I’ve met plenty of people who fled unsafe homes. They’re not thinking clearly, they just want OUT. She was done, she took what she had in her luggage and walked across the border alone. 💯
The police are not taking this very seriously if they believe this woman is not in grave danger. Why would she cross the border in Tijuana? At the very least, they should find her in Mexico, make contact and interview her to ensure she's not being trafficked or having a mental crisis.
When her dad killed himself my first thought was he killed her. Since she is still alive and fleeing something, I think maybe my first instinct was correct. He didn’t kill her, but he did something.
That’s what I’m now thinking. Her turning up in Mexico and not telling the family, seems like it was her one way out and she made it. I hope she’s safe.
I love documentaries. I have never seen ONE where a parent commits suicide 2 weeks into their son/daughter is missing. They fight for years to keep attention on the case until they’re found or they leave this earth. He gave up quickly. BUT he could’ve been mentally unstable already.
This is the daughter whose father jumped off a parking garage and killed himself in despair after failing to find her :(. And now it turns out she voluntarily fled to Mexico? https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckgvxyrj8k5o
Outrageous. Unless she was trying to escape the family because they were too controlling or she was being abused? This is hypothetical. But the piece of this that disturbs is the father’s suicide. Sure more will come out.
Something is off about this story. Her father died by suicide over his missing daughter. I have a hard time believing she’d put her family through this if she was fine.
Comments
seriously ?
that is.... appalling.

And someone set up a gofundme for the dead father’s fiancé because she’s going thru a difficult time.
It’s very strange.
But there still is a problem of people and women disappearing in Hawaii.
Jumbo shrimp.
Military intelligence.
Government efficiency.
Etc.
But we still have a dead body here…

I feel for them.
Her dad took his own life… I just…
I guess we’ll find out more later on.
