the pro trans talking point of “they are trying to take away my right to exist” may sound to the normie like hysterical blue hair college left shit but I’m sorry, it is just true!
I’m not gonna try to use fancy words like “genocidal” as others have, but the idea that it isn’t openly eliminationist…

it sounds like I’m being cheeky but I’m really not. right wing arguments against trans people in sports, against medical transition care etc., all operate from the first principle that being trans is not a real thing

Although tbh, I think most conservatives would take the stance "what's wrong with assimilation?"
to which i always ask: wait is this how you treat mentally ill children

Just the strangest thing.

He's not mentally ill, he's smart as fuck, smarter than every elected Republican, I guarantee it.
But, if trans folks in sports are an issue, you'd expect to see *more* trans sports stars. If we ever see a glut of trans-athletic superstardom, sure, reform Title IX some more, but anything else is regulation looking for a problem (to punish)
If there's like a half a % of trans people, all else being equal you'd *expect* a half a percent of dominant athletes to be trans, right?
The indicator to me isn't "there are no trans athletes excelling" it's "there are not a disproportionate number excelling"
I'm not a hardcore HS XC/T&F person, but this just feels like a bad use of the state to me.
