I'm a high school CTE teacher. I have to pinch pennies in my tiny budget, and spend hundreds of dollars out of pocket to support my students. More money would buy better results. Kids know when they're being short changed - it effects their attitude about society.

More or better spending of money. Our district was graduating happy, successful kiddos before adding a multi-million-dollar atrium, additional Olympic size pool with spectator seating, home ec kitchens that would make a chef jealous. Some of the kids tell me they loved the little garden plots more.

It is clearly good business sense. We are told, endlessly, that people like Trump are businessmen and better at running the country. Government is not a business, it's a non-profit. In any event, investing in your business is smart. Funding education that produces smart, productive people is wise.

Exactly the opposite of what a fascist regime wants. In order to keep their power, they want to keep the masses poor, sick & uneducated. That’s why they dismantled the Dept of Education, decimated funding for the arts, libraries & museums. They want to cut healthcare & increase taxes on the poor.

With public school curriculum going down the tubes a la Ten Commandments, teachers stressed trying to manage too many students, and all the thuggery & impunity going on—finally had to pull my kids out and place them in an evidence-based IB private school. Life is much better.

Vouchers are simply ‘separate but equal’ giveaways. The idea of school choice must be balanced with a bigoted and corrupt history. Outside the US, schools are required to be equal nationally with great success.

Money isn’t the only variable. And more money is not better performance per se.
