Our nation should make policies based on evidence alone, without regard to race.
We should not backtrack just because a policy has a higher burden on one group of people.
I believe that people including judges often have unconscious bias.
I believe poor people have harder lives through no fault of their own and deserve opportunities like affirmative action and scholarships.
But algorithms help overcome racial bias. We should not purposely introduce it.

But it does seem like the algo should include points for efforts to improve yourself. Surely that must improve chances of staying out.

AI is not a disease.
AI is a symptom of a deeply ill society/group of socieities.
And yes, AI is going to result in a lot of death and power outages.
A good example of why we should let felons vote, even if it's "fair" not to.
