The aesthetic of Taiwan is really interesting, with bits of cyberpunk and urban decay, architectural style between classic Chinese and “we’ll make it fit”, plus nature trying its best to reclaim everything. It’s great.
While walking through the Xinyi district in a light rain, I passed a harp recital in a warmly lit room with large windows. Outside in the blue gray light were about thirty pairs of shoes belonging to the attendees. It was beautiful. These moments happen on a daily basis in Taiwan.
