Surprises me that Israel is one of the lowest. Thought it could be the Orthodox population, but religiosity generally is positively correlated with trust in science.
"in most countries, our data do not show credible evidence of a relationship between political orientation and trust in scientists [unlike the U.S.]". They suggest political leadership differences create the correlation seen in the U.S. and elsewhere.
