We appreciate having a representative who understands how these cuts will have major implications for our STEM pipeline-both w the cuts to paid research, postdoc positions like @engineeringjoy.bsky.social’s, and improved STEM ed now and bc we will no longer be where the world’s scientists want to be

Well, it was a chance to share the local impacts. He was interested to hear how the grant cancellation notification occurred. We also learned Rep Liccardo has sponsored legislation to allow people to sue for wrongful termination, though it's not moving in Congress: https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/liccardo-trump-administration-doge-funding/3869951/
