They are not blocking your view of the Golden Gate Bridge from Coit Tower. Shocker. Finally getting our first scoffing noises from the crowd about view corridors at places like that, Noriega and 25th, etc
Most important, one more informational hearing scheduled next week, some other over the summer, and then late summer/early fall, we will be getting to Planning and Board of Supervisors votes to hit our January 2026 deadline.
We are starting with Supervisor questions, moving to Supervisor Chen, who has a list of question, starting with density decontrol. What is it, how does it work, it’s technical, people don’t know. Mind you, this doesn’t really affect her district that much but it’s kind of an expected angle
I actually couldn’t quite untangle the entire question but it’s basically how do we encourage family housing if it’s called family housing. Rachael Tanner answering the question noting they are providing apartments in a place that opens up larger units that roommates may be splitting now
Lisa Chen giving a technical answer about requirements on unit size, bedroom mix, and all of these sorts of things that I really wish we were less prescriptive about but alas, again, see the point about American planning. Pass single stair if you want more family apartments, BoS
