Dredd as a character is really underutilized in film & gaming. One thing I liked about the movie was that it showed the system Dredd upholds doesn't work. The punitive, authoritarian Judges are at best able to help a tiny percentage of those that need it. Dredd is what people accuse Batman of being.

The PS2 era "Dredd vs. Death" game was also pretty good! But extremely short. Worth it if you see on sale for $2-$3 on gog or steam if only to get points for sending citizens to the iso-cubes for having an unlicensed goldfish.

I just wish my 3D version wasn't borked. The two images seem to have a different colour tone to them.

No, it's not designed for red/blue 3D glasses, it's interlaced like normal 3D. It's just unwatchable.

But yeah, absolutely fantastic movie and it kills me it never got a sequel.

There's hardly a plot, which improves the rewatchability.

It passes the "Wandering Dad" test so easily. A dad coming into the room with no knowledge can easily stand there in the middle of the living room, watching this, leave, and come back and be up to speed in seconds, possibly sitting down.

The Stallone movie had so much potential. They nailed the aesthetic. They just messed up the story and adding in a comic relief Robb Schneider derp-de-derp.
