Cork Luas is a much needed project obviously but why has it been scaled back?
Proposed in 2020:

It's hard to see this as anything but a downgrade. There's significant shared space with cars throughout the whole route which is restricting capacity. Cork deserves better!

1. Getting stuck in traffic due to lack of bus lanes, leading to delays.
2. Lack of capacity, too many buses are "Sorry, Bus Full"s at peak times.
I'd love to see a Cork Luas but if it has these same problems, it would be useless.
