A word about the Canadian π¨π¦ healthcare system.
I have had both hips and one knee fully replaced. If I had to pay for them out-of-pocket, they wouldβve cost about $80k each. Without them, I would have had to retire in my mid 50s instead of retiring at 67 as I did three years ago.

So, the big question. Who has the better healthcare system now? π¨π¦ or the πΊπΈ?
And your last sentence is for those looking at the economics of it.
Knock on wood ... I have had to access the system very seldom, and I'm SO glad it's there for those that need it.
Ive since had knee replacement with only tiny out of pocket thanks to ACA..
Knock on wood again, at 79 other than two new joints I've never been in hospital.
