hey not to take away from your point but I checked your twitter and the first thing I saw was you quote tweeting a guy who used transphobic slurs and drew wolverine saying the n-word so idk if its really "silly"
I kinda hate that you made a good point on her quote-repost to you - that will never be seen by the public - because someone blocked someone and that means BSKY hides the blocked person's comment (great feature by the way, but sometimes you get situations like this)
It was bug enthusiast, people were telling him to get off twitter because it's a Nazi site now, and he still wants to use twitter because of the reach he has over there
I should mention that bug enthusiast isn't transphobic, just didn't know that the guy he was quote tweeting was a transphobe until the dude used a transphobic slur at him
I understand staying for financial reasons but there is a constant cloud of background radiation you have subjected yourself to that I suspect you have grown accustomed to.
Yeah but honestly here there’s still not a real safety net for actually making money here on my end, to where they can just turn here.
Most if not all of my commissioners, still on Twitter because of that “ease of access”
If it was actually popping off, sure, but really it barely is
Its a chicken and the egg thing really. Why would anyone move if all their fave artists are still accessible on twiiter? I get it! Its when people get defensive that I get irked
I think it’s a matter of: folks have been working on Twitter for years with what they’ve got, so when you’re asking them to tuck tail it does feel like an insult because now you have to throw everything away.
Because again, art is that personal.
So I don’t blame anyone for not leaving
Truthfully if we had the ability to have lively conditions where you don’t have to sell out as hard to just “survive” then we wouldn’t have any of this.
it's just straight up a Nazi bar. the fact corporate accounts have to lock replies cuz the show they're advertising has a black protagonist is so badddd.
everyone is so openly bigoted and hostile and are just??? comfortable with it????
when I got chased off in June last year, I realized that place isn't the same place I used 9 years ago. it's a breeding ground for harassment especially towards artists who aren't perfect and are in fact nuanced humans.
I don't see a reason to be on twitter anymore, everyone worthwhile already moved over here and those who remain on twitter were usually the ones steering the pot with drama and shit.

Okay who is it so I can block?
My bad!
if you have to make your money from the nazi bar, maybe you should find a different way to make money

hell, americans might not have a net pretty soon if they just ban our livelyhood
But again you have to do that everyday, that’s just how America works

Again you can stay. But we know WHY you're staying. Losing that half a million followers would hurt. So just admit it.

it's a shell of it's former self. i wish other artists just moved already.
