2015-19 showed the Labour right and bureaucracy will do anything to undermine the left. They stitched up the rules so no decent MP will get on the leadership ballot. The party is morally and politically bankrupt.

Labour is in power. The Prime Minister is a Labour Prime Minister. Any and all Labour ministers hold views that, if anything, are further left than AOC. Indeed from an outside perspective democratic party is centrist at best

Could you elaborate a bit on what those views are? Because right now we're hearing about aid cuts and belt-tightening, along with anti-inmigrantvand anti-trans sentiment. Those are elements of the Democratic Party, too, but not the left edge.

I am in fact aware that the US Democratic Party is viewed as centrist at best by many self-styled left-leaning Europeans, with few concrete examples. Like, the Norwegian Labor Party hasn't seized all the means of production, only the UK has a semblance of single-provider health care, etc.

The Labour Party had been taken over by entryists for some years and consigned to the wilderness due to the hard left. There is a course correction currently. Coming from a socialist family I'm not a fan of current policies but see the need after decade of Tory mismanagement.
