This is one of those things I feel not enough people - generally - reflect on. Jobs should help the people doing them live a good life. Often though, they help someone else live the good life of 10, a hundred, a thousand, a million people, all while the one person with that job struggles. Why?

Yes, the cashier at Target should be able to afford rent, groceries, and bills with their paycheck alone. That’s what jobs are for.
