What was your first introduction to Final Fantasy?
I had played Kingdom Hearts for the first time and fallen in love with Cloud. I then saw Advent Children on the shelf and the rest was history haha

Tried it myself. The rest is history.
i think i may have briefly played one of the games for 15 minutes because i knew that summoning Shiva was a thing?
I finally played FFVII proper when it came to Steam while I was in college.
The difficulty of this game is soul crushing
Was that an awesome experience? Yes!
It was my first non-Pokemon rpg and now most of my gaming time is RPG
I have never played a FF game.
It's a liberating feeling being able to judge the set and my desire to own any purely on mechanics, as pretty as the art is. (I'm too old for thirst purchases not to be creepy AF).
Cloud and Sephiroth ---> Advent Children (I had no idea what was happening)
Nearly a decade later I played FFIX as my first FF title
I miss Blockbuster
I played it at a friend’s house (I didn’t have a PS1) and I’m pretty sure the whole block heard us at the end of disc 2. 🫠
Literally changed my life, set the gold standard of story telling in RPGs.
Then FF3 (6j) just blew me away.
Not FF but then Chrono Trigger...fuck ruined me for life, bar is so high
Advent Children actually helped me like Final Fantasy 7 (when I loathed it before)
Tomb raiders and then ff7
After playing some more games of that genre, I went back, beat it, and loved it.
I’ve played all mainline games except XI (which I don’t really count) and XVI. I might get to XVI eventually but it doesn’t “speak to me.”
I got a PS2 to play 10 (after my housemate with the PS2 moved out) & been deep into the series ever since.
my siblings and me love this game
